Furnishing Study Cycle

The study cycle will enable students to express their creativeness artistically in addition to offering them the technical knowledge necessary to create and manage projects to furnish and design interior spaces. Such work will be performed as a self-employed professional or in collaboration with others with higher degrees.

The fields in which these professionals will work are wide and varied. They span from the furnishing and design of residences and commercial spaces (offices, shops, restaurants,etc.) as well as newer tasks such as:

- Furnishing of housing using modular furniture
- Modular design of offices using furniture, space dividers and archiving, zoning systems, and creation of work spaces
- Zoning of large spaces using displays, shelving, separators, etc.
- Outfitting spaces for special events such as conventions, meetings, conferences, product presentations, etc.
- Design of commercial spaces for franchising, using elements such as separators, furnishing, etc. with the corporate image and incorporating them into a given space.
- Design of spaces for specific markets such as opticians, pharmacies, press kiosks, etc. on behalf of manufacturers.

Both courses represent two different scopes of development:
Firstly, the acquisition of basic artistic, technical and project management skills. Secondly, acquisition of the technical and project management abilities with the necessary conceptual and humanistic knowledge to bring project to fruition.
Finally, an end of year Final Project which will allow us to evaluate the practical capabilities acquired by the student during the previous two years.
Once the study cycle is over, the student will acquire the degree of Upper Level Degree of Plastic Arts and Design in Furnishing.
